Located in Northern parts of Canada and Alaska. In order to make a home, they dig burrows beneath the frozen ground. They are considered scavengers because they collect their food from other predators. Since, they are scavengers they keep the environment clean by eating the dead animals

Located in Canada, USA and Eurasia,they live in the tundra & taiga. They are adapted to live in harsh environment . In the spring there coat turns brown , while in the winter there coat turns white.

They are considered one of the largest owls and also attractive ones. The females can lay up to 2-16 eggs. They hunt at night, they help keep the environment from overpopulating
